I like my new phone. The WordPress app connects me up on the go now, not sure why but a I think this is awesome. Is it going to help me be more active on the blog? I hope so! As far as WordPress apps go, the Windows Phone App has the best look. Windows phone is my first smart phone, and when I compare to iOS or Android I just can’t see myself ever switching. Perhaps people who already have them are used to it, but from personal experience I can say this for sure, Windows Phone is extremely intuitive when compared to other smartphones.
Both the phone and the new Windows OS have the same look and feel, Microsoft is on the greener side of lawn if you ask me.
I have been working on this track for almost a year now, and it is probably one of the most frustrating tracks I have ever made. I really like the sound of the bass and the drums, but I am having the hardest time to finish it. I cant find the proper vibe and atmosphere to go along with the tune. I finally decided to post it on Soundcloud. Then I stumbled across the Soundcloud account of Amarante and the wonderful vocal stems that they made available for remixing.
So far this is what I got and this was about 2 hours of work.
I will get back to this and polish it asap!
I love making music, but right now I am waiting with much anticipation for my son to be born. Everything else takes a back seat in my life. Until then enjoy all my past work, I will get back in to production eventually, expecting to be inspired by my living and breathing masterpiece, my son!
I recently came across Knowledge magazine site. Trough my usual Soundcloud surfing I noticed there is a Seba remix competition going on and I started working on it. I have usually no problem making beats and bass lines but I am always struggling with melody and vibes. This is why I jumped on this remix contest, it had all the elements that I am not so great with, and combined with my beats and bass the final product is closer to a real track then any of my previous work. Still hoping to find a partner for making music, I know if I had someone working with me who can do the things I can’t do well, we would have some serious hits rolling out in no time.
This was made with Record and Reason, I have to make time in the future for an article about Propellerhead . Record is everything I was hoping it would be, it brings every function I wanted and it works great. Reason I have been using it for over 10 years and they created the best as far as I’m concerned. But more about this subject on a later time.
Seba has been around for a long time producing, some of my very first vinyl records are from him.
Listen and enjoy!
I found Inkscape not too long ago, and I love it. It is a powerful illustration software, I used it for many things. Most of the designs and Menu on VSR and some designs on VNAM were made with Inkscape and slowly building this website as well with the help of this FREE and amazing software. I can’t wait to have more time in front of my computer and explore all of the things that Inkscape has to offer.
Recently I did a quick OS wipe and installed the latest version Ubuntu.
I have to say it was much faster and less complicated then I ever expected it to be. I always thought that anything with Linux requires some level of computer programing, oh how wrong I was. Personally I find Ubuntu to be less confusing for a first time user then Macintosh OS, go figure. The new Unity desktop interface is very intuitive, learned to navigate around and get what I need in a few hours. There is a large number of open source software available from the Linux community, and while some are less attractive then others, there is a core set of programs for graphic design or audio production that is really good.
The nice thing about it is that if you want to do a test drive, there is an option to install and use while you keep your current OS, I highly recommend to at least give it a chance.
